“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.”

– Jeremiah 1:5 –

“While the original verse for the bakery was about the BREAD of life, God led me down a slightly different path for our pod this year. He gave me the verse Jeremiah 1:5, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.” The desire God has given me for this year centers around the word “KNOWN”. Baking is all about creating something, and how beautiful is God’s creation of man?! This train of thought led me down the rabbit hole of how God creating man in His image was from His profound love for us which correlates to God knowing us so deeply. I desire for my girls to know that they are known, not only by me, but by our almighty King. With the rampant struggle of insecurity and identity in the majority of young women, it is so vital for us to know that we have a foundation of love that we may rest upon. Loneliness is not a rare occurrence for college students and it is my mission to drive out this loneliness in those around me so that they may see that they are known, they are cared for, and they are loved. It is my hope that this intentionality may spark these very girls to be intentional with those around them so that a solid community of vulnerability and love may carry them through their lives. This is a reflection of the unending pursuit of God towards us in knowing that WE ARE LOVED and KNOWN by Him because, after all, He has known us since the beginning of time.”
